  • Owner Builder Courses
    In order to become an authorised owner-builder in most States or Territories in Australia, you must complete an approved owner-builder course to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of legislative and technical requirements in relation to the building work.

  • White Card
    In order to obtain a General Construction Induction Card (white card), you must complete the following mandated units of competency: CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry. This Course is also compulsory for all those wishing to obtain their Owner-builder permit.

    Upon completion of this unit of competency, you will be able to demonstrate personal awareness of Work Health and Safety legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness on a construction site.

  • Work Health and Safety (WHS)
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about WHS.

    This CPD Module consists of 3 topics worth 4 points* each and covers the legislative WHS requirements across the states, the 5 key areas of WHS in construction, common WHS issues, how to maintain a safe workplace, and the essential WHS documentation required for any construction project. Earn a total of 12 CPD Points.

  • Windows
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about Windows.

    This CPD Module consists of 2 topics worth 3 CPD points* each and addresses glazing, window frames, thermal performance, shading, ventilation, noise, weather-tightness, compliance requirements & window installation. Earn a total of 6 CPD Points.

  • Termite Management
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about Termite Management

    This CPD Module consists of 2 topics worth 3 CPD points* each, and covers termite identification, termite barriers, termite standards, high-risk sites, termite management & addressing active termite infestations. Earn a total of 6 CPD Points.

  • Business Administration
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about business administration and management.

    This CPD Module consists of 2 topics which can be worth up to 4 points* each, and covers the essential requirements for setting up a business, planning your projects, programming, scheduling monitoring and reporting, as well as report writing. Earn a total of 8 CPD Points.

  • Communication, Negotiation and Conflict Management
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about communication and conflict management.

    This CPD Module consists of 2 topics worth 3 points* each, and covers effective communication strategies, the barriers to communication, the importance of meetings, negotiation styles and negotiation outcomes, conflict management strategies and dispute avoidance. Earn a total of 6 CPD Points.

  • Contracts
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about the fundamentals of contracts.

    This CPD Module consists of 2 topics worth 3 points* each, and provides an introduction to contracts, types of contracts, contract terms and the essential documentation associated with contracts. Earn a total of 6 CPD Points.

  • NSW Building and the Law
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about NSW Building and the Law

    This CPD Module consists of 2 topics worth 6 points* each, and covers the security of payment law, contract basics, the building code of Australia, home building act & employment law. Earn a total of 12 CPD Points.

  • Sustainability
    Licensed builders are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a condition of their licence renewal. Consider completing your CPD by learning about sustainable building.

    This CPD Module consists of 3 topics worth 4 points* each and addresses the importance of sustainable building. It provides practical advice, and through the use of short videos on glazing, insulation, orientation, shading, solar energy, thermal mass, ventilation and water, provides information and tips on how to build a sustainable home.
